This UX and revenue-growth project consisted of streamlining the user experience, both on-site and in email, providing a cleaner, simpler checkout experience while implementing post-purchase upsell and cross-sell offers.
It proved to be hugely successful.
By offering state-specific, personalized courses to an existing purchase, we saw immediate returns. Within only 6 months:
- Increased ANNUAL REVENUE PER USER by 37%
- Increased AVERAGE ORDERS PER USER from 0.8 TO 2.2
- Increased TOTAL REVENUE by 29% (and counting)
We applied this strategy to both the website and email marketing initiatives.
An automated post-purchase email workflow directed people straight to the checkout, with the discount code applied, for easy, friction-less purchase. Note: the design of the website and upsell/cross-sell offers have been improved since this video, however, this should give you an idea.
